It was an absolute pleasure donating tailoring to YMCA Derbyshire We hope our clothing provides confidence to those seeking new opportunities during these challenging times.

YMCA Derbyshire are on a mission to provide our young people with smart clothing, to empower them to feel confident in job interviews and progressing into the world of work.

YMCA Derbyshire are accepting donations of smart interview clothing and shoes. Curating a wardrobe of outfits so that all young people get the chance to feel good about themselves on their interview days.

Russell, Sales Manager at Stuncroft said “We are pleased, even in these very tough times, to be able to assist the excellent work YMCA Derbyshire carries out. We hope that our donation will lead to success in interviews and taking that first step into the working world.”

Jon YMCA’s Employability Coach said:

“There are many barriers along the road of gaining employment. Having a smart outfit to boost your confidence in an interview might seem insignificant to some, however interview clothing is something that would not be accessible for our young people without the kind donations from businesses like Stuncroft.”

Dan, an off-site resident who has worked closely with our Employability Coach, said:

“I attended a couple of workshops on CV writing, interview techniques and building confidence and had some individual coaching around interviews.

After a couple of interviews, I got a job – all the hard work was worthwhile. Now I have a sense of purpose and I feel more optimistic about my future. I’ve moved onto independent living because of my job and I love it.”
